The Old Banyan Road in Hilo where I had a hotel, and the rain forest outside of the city.

Kahuna falls with mist arising, making me wet.

At 5 in the morning, driving into the rainbow, up to about 2000 meters, above the clouds, in the direction of Mauna Kea.

Clouds are below me and Mauna Loa is in the distance - it is the heaviest single-standing mountain in the world. Down on the coast two local fellows harvest sea urchins.

Golf courses and lava land; Daifukuji Soto mission had a party and garage sale, good to step by.

Steaming Kilouea volcano and big ferns near lava tube.
